'Esther' is a painting from South Australian artist, Sarah Lubcke.
 
This work was created specifically for the Bluethumb x Southern Bouy group exhibition and it is the 2nd of 2 works about the theme of preparation. The painting's both feature Sarah's signature colours and combine both portraiture and her unique abstract paintings in the composition. 
 
About the work:
 
This piece is inspired by the story of  a Queen called Esther.  In the story, there was a time of 12 months set aside for Esther to beautify and prepare before she went before the King. 
The painting is a modern take- speaking about about the process of readying oneself  whilst waiting to meet the one they love.
 
These works are painted in only the finest acrylic and oil paint on a beautiful hand stretched canvas from Southern Buoy. The Artwork comes  framed perfectly by Southern Buoy. 
All works come with a certificate of Authenticity.
 
This work was on display at the Bluethumb Gallery in Adelaide as part of the gallery's 'Bluethumb x Southern Buoy: 40 x 40' exhibition from May 2nd - July 1st.
